No. For the same reasons you shouldn’t be home during the showings you should not be home during the inspection. Inspections take anywhere from 3 to 5 hours, depending on the size of the home, and the buyer’s agent and often the buyer will be there. You don’t want to get into any discussion about your home and any of its faults – every home has them. You will weaken your negotiation position on any requests the buyer makes following the inspection and you don’t want to take on any liability of saying the wrong thing. Remember there will always be an agent present during the inspection so you won’t be leaving your home unattended.
