How do buyers get in to see my home?

A lock box will be placed on your front door or somewhere convenient to the agents showing the home.  It works on an infra red signal from a small “box” (we call it a “key”) owned by the showing agent. The lock box itself records the showing agent’s information, which the listing agent can download or read from their own “key”.  That way, no agent can enter your home through the lock box system without leaving the information in the lock box. The listing agent knows who went into the lock box and when.  And the lock boxes are very strong. In most cases easier to break into a home than a lock box! We recommend every listing use a lock box. If it’s inconvenient for an agent to show your home it will move to the bottom of the list and that will make your home more difficult to sell.
